List ServeWe're glad you asked!
If you have any questions or suggestions related to the Yahoo! Group, you need to update any personal information listed on the Yahoo! Group databases, or any other information, please e-mail Satrap Erin Walsh at: erinwalsh16@gmail.com
If you have any events or deadlines you would like included on the Yahoo! Group Calendar, please e-mail Satrap Erin Walsh at erinwalsh16@gmail.com.
If you want/have digital pictures to be placed on the Province V website or Yahoo! Group or update/list any social events on the Province V website, please e-mail them to Webmaster Jennifer Suminski. She will make sure a copy of all photos submitted get sent to Historian Kate Nelson. However, please continue to send all actual picture prints you would like included in the Province slideshows and scrapbooks to Kate. And please, please, please, send those photos!
To send an e-mail message to all Province V brothers, send mail to: KappaPsiProvince5@yahoogroups.com.
If that does not work, you will need to sign-in to the Yahoo Group page and send the e-mail by clicking on "Post" under "Messages" and typing the e-mail into the form box there.
All Province V brothers are highly encouraged to join the Province V Yahoo! Group, along with any interested brothers outside our Province. When joining the group, you are automatically enrolled in this list serve. Click here to go there now.
A big thanks to Past Satrap Pete Brody for all his hard work in establishing this group!
This list serve is currently maintained by Brother Peter M. Brody Jr., through the Province V Yahoo! Group.

It is highly recommended that all Chapter officers subscribe to this list serve, and all brothers are encouraged to join!
Each Kappa Psi Chapter now has its own mailbox at www.kappa-psi.org/webmail, where official communications from the Central Office will be sent. These communications will include all national forms, dues statements, rosters, and other important messages.
To log-in for your Chapter E-mail:
Username: chaptername@kappa-psi.org
(examples: xi@kappa-psi.org or columbusgrad@kappa-psi.org)
Password: year Alpha Chapter was founded is the default password
(Alpha Chapter was founded 16 years after KY was founded)
Regents, please change your Chapter's password upon logging in the first time and keep your password handy for future reference.
Messages may be sent to all these Chapter mailboxes by sending mail to: collegiatechapterlist@kappa-psi.org. Please do not, as an individual, attempt to subscribe to the collegiatechapterlist, as it is only to be subscribed to by these Chapter mailboxes.
Click here for further information on your Chapter E-mail account and how to access it.
There is a second, non-preferred Province V list serve administered by Dr. Craig Burkin through the Kappa Psi International Homepage. The Province V Executive Committee would like brothers to continue using our own list serve, through our Yahoo Group page (see "Province V List Serve" above). For completeness sake, we wanted to include the information about this other list serve here.
To send a message to this secondary list serve, send mail to:
Province5@kappa-psi.org.

Good question! A list serve is basically an e-mail message management system. It functions by receiving and distributing e-mail messages to a list of users. A list serve is managed by a list owner, who is the person or organization with formal responsibility for the operation of the list -- a kind of referee, if you want.
People join a list serve by sending an e-mail message to the list owner. Once they are a part of the list, they receive e-mail messages that are sent to the list serve by other users. Users can also respond to each other's messages or send a new message to the list serve. Depending on the speed of the processor and number of subscribers, messages are usually delivered to the entire mailing list within 5 to 20 minutes. The types of messages that are commonly posted include questions, requests for assistance, breaking news, comments, announcements of upcoming events, etc.
LISTSERV® was the first automated mailing list service, developed in 1986 by Eric Thomas. LISTSERV is currently a commercial product marketed by L-Soft International. Although LISTSERV refers to a specific mailing list server, the term "LISTSERV" is sometimes used incorrectly to refer to any mailing list server, when the term "List Serve" should be used instead.
The above description of a list serve was stolen from http://www.nmfrc.org/list.cfm. Hopefully, this credit makes it alright!
